Opened by the Queen in 1992 Carsington Water has become a popular place for tourists and locals alike and today welcomes almost a million visitors every year.

There are plenty of activities and things to do with 3 walking trails around the site – a 1 mile, 3 miles and 8 miles (maps are available from the main reception desk), cycle hire, picnic areas, a wildlife centre, adventure playground and the sailing club.  Carsington Water is open all year round except for Christmas Day.
